If you're looking for a stunningly authentic Japanese restaurant just south of downtown Anchorage with stellar ramen and gyoza and other dishes for as reasonable a set of prices as you can expect these days, you've found it in Naruto. They make their ramen exactly as it's made in Japan, not Americanized at all. It's fantastic. The gyoza is fresh and rice just right. The tempura is light and excellent. The service is good and the food came out quickly.
If you don’t mind waiting after the open up right away, definitely check this place out! Customer service is spot on and the place is clean! One of the better tasting ramen joints for sure. Before we moved up here, we had a ramen joint we loved but was a tad salty but this, chefs kiss. The cut of their pork is very savory and melts in your mouth. Broth, is spot on, even for the more sensitive taste buds of a child. Sushi was delicious even though, yes it is just a Cali roll. We almost came a second time the next day.
Friendly service, food came out fairly quick! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and boy was that some yummy creamy ramen! Highly recommend these guys over Kami even. They don't skimp on their eggs! I gave service 4 stars because my water cup never got refilled until my check came to the table, im a big water drinker especially with a dish high in sodium. Other than that i will be back for more!!!
Having been stationed 13 years in Okinawa as a Marine, 2 years in mainland Japan as a government employee and 2 more years in Okinawa as a government employee I know Japanese food. The ramen here was amazing, the gyoza was on point although I prefer my gyoza steamed. I was driving but they have Orion beer which made my wife's day
Had the Naruto miso ramen and tuna sushi. The ramen was actually really good - rich broth and perfect noodles. Tuna was fresh and well cut. Small place with anime posters on the walls which was cool. Cozy atmosphere, not too loud. Staff was nice and responsive.
